Due diligence
Anyone with legitimate and lawful reason can check to see if a company is properly registered under Australian legislation, and what type of company it may be. For example it may be a registered non-profit charity.
If you have a legitimate and lawful reason you may check the registered status of Tanjenong Indigenous Corporation through the following four (4) ways.
Option #1:
The Registrar of Indigenous Corporations is an independent statutory office holder appointed by the Minister for Indigenous Affairs under the Corporations (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander) Act 2006 (CATSI Act). The Registrar's office supports and regulates the corporations that are incorporated under the Act. It does this in a variety of ways: by advising them on how to incorporate, by training directors, members and key staff in good corporate governance, by making sure they comply with the law and by intervening when needed. For more information please see: www.oric.gov.au

The Contact Person for service is Mr. Reuben J Humphries.

Note: Those needing to contact Mr. Humphries for service of documents can do so by phone on 0439 738 200, email at tanjenong@icloud.com (a backup email address in case of system malfunction) or in writing to 7 Chalcot Drive Endeavour Hills, Victoria. 3802.
Option #2:
The Australian Business Register (ABR) provides a free Australian Business Number (ABN) search service so that anyone can independently check the status of Australian businesses. The ABR listings may also indicate if they are also charities, however the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission will have more extensive details.

Our ABN is as follows.

Tanjenong Indigenous Corporation ABN: 60 396 252 737

Option #3:
Tanjenong Indigenous Corporation (ICN: 8392) is an endorsed deductible gift recipient public benevolent institution, endorsement commencing 20 April 2016, from the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC).

Option #4:
The Nikolaous Institute of Philanthropy, an endorsed deductible gift recipient charity, is our founding entity and the sole voting member of Tanjenong Indigenous Corporation ICN: 8392.
